The way in which your brain can process many sorts of information simultaneously is described in terms of parallel processing. It processes information by ingesting it and interpreting it so that your brain can make sense of it. For instance, your brain analyses a lot of information about an object at once when you view it. These consist of:
1. Colour : Processing will determine what colour the object is. Your brain may pick up on the object's colour tones, contrast with other objects, and other things.
2. Motion : Our brain determines whether something is moving and, if so, how quickly.
3. Shape: By processing an object's shape, our brains enable us to recognise what it is.
4. Depth: Depth reveals the distance between two things. When determining the relationship between two objects, depth is crucial. A closer object has an impact on your perception than one that is farther away.
