The end of slavery is the correct answer.


The declaration of Independence was adopted by the Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia on 4th July 1776. It announced  the war of thirteen colonies against Great Britain and declared the colonies as independent sovereign states. It was a step toward the formation of the United States of America. The declaration of independence confirmed the alliance of the colonies with the French government. Although slavery was at that time was widespread the founding fathers wasn't acknowledged in the declaration of Independence.
